3.2 Why do we collect personal information?

In order to process your application for the programmes of The Society subscriptions and services, you are required to provide your personal data to us. This applies to both existing and potential members of The Society and all the other visitors to the Website.

We endeavour continuously to assess our privacy practices in light of new technology, business practices and our members' needs. Our privacy policy may therefore be amended from time to time. The Society collects two types of information from members and from website visitors: personal data which you knowingly choose to disclose that is collected on an individual basis and the website users' information collected on an aggregate basis when you and others browse This Website.

4.3 Personal data members must provide


Application for membership of The Society is by way of written communication in signed hard copy form (Membership Form) to the Society together with the appropriate cheque for the relevant subscription.

During the registration process prior to the admission as a member of The Society, we require that you supply your name and email address together with your membership application in writing. Failure to provide such information may result in our being unable to provide you with our services.

In addition to providing the foregoing personal data to us, if you choose to correspond further with us through email, we may retain the content of your email messages together with your email address and our responses.
4.4 Website user information

4.4.1 Cookies

A cookie is a small data file and that certain websites write to your hard drive when you visit them. A cookie file may contain information such as a user ID with which the site users can track the pages you have visited.
