Bonhams autumn auctions in Hong Kong will present treasures in a diverse range of categories, including Fine and Rare Wines, Fine Chinese Paintings & Contemporary Asian Art, Exceptional Jewels and Watches, Fine Ceramics and Works of Art.

This guided tour with Julian King will focus on one of the important auctions, Timeless and Translucent: The Harold E. Stack Collection of Chinese Jades. Formed by a passionate Seattle connoisseur over several decades, this collection includes magnificent examples of spinach jade, white jade, Mughal jade and jadeite. Highlights include an outstanding group of Qianlong jades – jade table screen; an Imperial inscribed Mughal jade, dated to 1790; and other Qianlong white jade pieces, including an exquisite white jade 'goose' box and cover. The finest examples within the collection undoubtedly reflect the zenith of craftsmanship and artistic achievement at the Qianlong court, and pay testament to the discerning eye of the collector.

Julian King is the Head of Chinese Ceramics and Works of Art in Bonhams Hong Kong. King read Classical and Modern Chinese at Wadham College, Oxford, working as a Chinese art specialist in London from 2000 to 2008 before taking up the position in Hong Kong.
